challenge

An intellectual property firm that thrives on embracing the impossible had outgrown its old website. As the firm elevated, so did its clientele. I redesigned their website to reflect their bold, forward-thinking brand, creating a digital presence that serves as a catalyst for how they’ll represent themselves in the future.

Solution

The team at Kelly IP made it clear—they're not your typical law firm. With an edge that sets them apart and a clientele of high-end brands, they needed a website that truly reflected their identity. After diving deeper, I landed on three keywords: sophisticated, contemporary, and premium. These inspired The Tarantino, a bold design concept influenced by French Noir and Quentin Tarantino films.

The redesign blended organic shapes with strategic red accents, crafting a unique digital law firm experience. Black-and-white photography elevated the aesthetic, creating a striking contrast that complemented the refined color palette. Red wasn’t just a brand color; it had a purpose, used deliberately for emphasis and as the primary action color. I introduced custom textures and patterns to push the design further, ensuring the firm stood out from the sea of traditional, blue-accented competitors.

Launch Experiences

With the launch this new product, the idea is to create immersive experiences and installations around the city. Glossier would take over Manhattan with giant sculptures of the product in uptown, midtown, and downtown, creating a photo op scavenger hunt. Each sculpture will be strategically placed in a neighborhood to reflect its namesake. Fairy can be found in Central Park amongst the trees, Siren is sitting pretty on a pier in Seaport, and Supernova is in the heart of Times Square, reflected in the lights for an intergalactic feel.

Glossier has always been big on customer experience. With G Light, the idea is to tap into that connection: unexpected fun and, let’s be real, free stuff because who doesn’t love that? The launch of this product continues with a party where people can test the powders and create content and connections. Tote bags as cute takeaways, and even a claw machine where guests could try their luck at winning a G Light powder. The goal is to make the launch feel exciting, shareable, and totally Glossier.
